Window, door and skylight manufacturer Marvin has opened a new distribution center in Reno, Nevada. Company officials say the expansion enhances the efficiency of Marvin’s distribution network while creating additional jobs in the region.

The new Reno distribution center will serve as a central hub where the company’s products will be consolidated, shipped and delivered to customers along the West Coast.

“This distribution center is a critical step in our commitment to providing exceptional service to our dealers and customers,” says president Darrin Peterson. “Marvin’s operations in Reno will further streamline enterprise logistics while allowing us to work even more collaboratively with our partners along the West Coast.”

Marvin partnered with Tolles Development Company and Plenium Builders for the expansion, which includes LED lighting paired with natural light accessible throughout the facility and electric forklifts for reduced indoor air pollution and fuel costs.

“By centralizing our operations, we can reduce transit times, enhance delivery accuracy and improve our overall efficiency,” says Chris Hoerth, director of logistics. “This is a significant milestone in our ongoing effort to strengthen our distribution network further.”
