Hornos Industriales Pujol Acquires the Glass Division of Teknokilns

Hornos Industriales Pujol, part of Pujol Group, has acquired the glass division of Italian-based Teknokilns, a designer and manufacturer of kilns for glass fusing, bending, tempering and lamination.

With the acquisition, Pujol will incorporate Teknokilns’ client portfolio, services and engineering of thermal tempering furnaces. Officials state that the acquisition is part of Pujol’s expansion plan and strengthens its safety glass sector.

“This new acquisition, together with Pujol’s centuries-old tradition and experience in the development of ovens, reinforces our commitment as a company to our customers to offer them a reliable and advanced product,” says CEO Jorge Pujol. “We are following our ‘Road Book 2020,’ which we were forced to pause and review due to the COVID pandemic, but now we are back to the cruising speed that has always differentiated us as a leading
and innovative company.”

Enclos Expands with Pfeifer Structures America Acquisition

Enclos has acquired Dallas-based Pfeifer Structures America, a specialty facade contractor and provider of custom curtainwalls. Enclos Tensile Structures Inc. (ETS) acquired Pfeifer in December 2022 from its parent companies P&E Holding LLC and Pfeifer Structures (US) Holding Inc.

Officials from Enclos state that the move expands its offerings to include “custom tensile membrane structures, structural glass systems and kinetic structures” across North America. Enclos can now design, engineer, fabricate and install custom lightweight structures clad with Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE), Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and glass, including long-span stadium roof structures.

“We are excited to add the leading lightweight tensile and membrane structures technical experts to our team,” says Enclos president Steve Danke. “The growing demand for ETFE skins represents an exciting opportunity for lightweight transparency complementary to the glazed curtainwall systems we currently offer. We look forward to delivering both to the premier stadiums and structures in the coming years.”

ETS president Tom Wuerch will remain in his role. Garry Becker and Bill Schmidt will remain as executive vice presidents. ETS’ North American headquarters will stay in Dallas.
