More details about the death of Crown Architectural Systems CEO Bruno Travalja in a worksite accident last week have been cited in various news sources over the last few days. Travalja was killed on Thursday afternoon when he fell at least 40 stories from a skyscraper, according to various reports.

According to a report in the New York Daily News, Travalja “was wearing a safety harness but it wasn’t tied to anything when he plummeted from a deck on the 47th floor of the skyscraper at 153 W. 53rd St. near 7th Ave.” The story says he was taking measurements when he fell and may have had a dizzy spell.

Travalja, 52, is survived by his wife, Alexis; three children, Taylor, Luca and Aidan; and his mother, Mirela, according to his obituary. He was preceded in death by his father, John.

Visiting hours with the family will be held on Tuesday, September 20, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood, N.J. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 21, at St. Luke’s RC Church at 10 a.m. in Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.
