Sto Corp. has broken ground on a new manufacturing facility near Monterrey, Mexico. It is scheduled to be completed in June 2025.

Company officials say the facility will initially be dedicated to servicing Mexico and southern Texas, regions previously served by Arizona and Atlanta plants. It will later expand its operations to accommodate the production of StoCast, a wood and brick facade aesthetic.

Officials say the new facility will require approximately 25 new management and operational personnel.

“Sto’s investment in Mexico marks a significant step forward in our manufacturing ventures,” says CEO Jose Berlingeri. “This new facility not only strengthens Sto’s foothold in the region but also our commitment to delivering innovative solutions while embracing sustainability practices that benefit both our business and the communities we serve.”

The building will be situated on a 108,000-square-foot lot. Officials say it will feature various Sto finishes and integrate eco-friendly elements, including a rainwater collection system. The system will promote sustainability and enable tracking of collected rainwater for metric evaluation. Officials add that for communities reliant on imported water, rainwater harvesting can alleviate pressure on local water sources. This reduces the need for imported water and helps utilities manage peak demands during summer.

Indominus is the developer and is in charge of construction. Newmark is overseeing project management.
