AGNORA

AGNORA has named Corey Boland its CEO. He replaces founder Richard Wilson who will remain on the company’s board of directors. Boland joins AGNORA with more than 25 years of experience in the manufacturing sector with a focus on scaling businesses across North America and into global markets.

NR Group

West Palm Beach, Fla.- based NR Group has appointed Attila Arian as its new managing director. Arian served the last 10 years as the president of Schuco USA. Before that, he was the president of Seele’s U.S. operation. Arian has an engineering degree from TU Darmstadt/Germany and more than 30 years of senior and executive-level experience in commercial and residential construction.

NSG Group

NSG Group reports that Shoji Miyanomoto is now the plant manager and general manager of float operations in Chiba, Japan, in addition to his current roles as a senior corporate officer and head of Architectural Glass SBU Asia. Toshiyuki Morohashi assumes the roles of corporate officer and director of research and development. He previously held the title of plant manager and general manager of float operations in Chiba.

New Hires

Vitro Architectural Glass

Vitro Architectural Glass hired Spencer Green to be the commercial account manager for the Ontario/Quebec region. Green will manage commercial flat glass accounts and support fabricators and glaziers. He assumes the role following stints at various commercial construction companies.

Viracon

Amber Schramm is the new senior marketing manager for Viracon. Schramm brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing communications to the role. Her experience includes strategic planning, digital marketing and brand management. Her previous stops include Donaldson Company, Zinpro Corp. and Dispatch Industries.

Kuraray America

Jim Biroscak has joined Kuraray America as a sales representative for advanced interlayer solutions. Biroscak has more than 10 years of experience in the glass industry. In his new role, he will support Kuraray’s North American commercial team in driving business growth in the U.S. and Canada.

Alumicor

Steve Gusterson of Alumicor received the Life Membership Award during the Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) Conference 2023. Gusterson is the vice president of Alumicor’s pre-construction design. He has also been an active member of CSC for more than 20 years. The Life Membership Award is CSC’s highest accolade for an individual. It is presented in recognition of outstanding service, dedication, support and commitment to the association and the design and construction community. Only 55 members have received the award since 1975.

Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council

Tina Donnelly has been appointed to the Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council (AGMCC) board. Donnelly is a project executive at Turner Construction Company. AGMCC and its board oversee the North American Contractor Certification and Architectural Glass and Metal Technician programs. Donnelly will represent and share her construction industry perspective.

Comings and Goings

According to an Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® (OBE) organizational announcement sent to employees, C.R. Laurence president Arty Feles has resigned. The announcement states that Feles stepped down due to personal circumstances. “We will be filling the vacated president role, as well as expanding our CRL management team to support our current business and future acquisitions, which we are actively pursuing,” OBE officials said in a statement.

Kawneer

Kawneer has named Sneh Kumar the director of global sustainability. Kumar will develop and lead the company’s sustainability strategy, focusing on product design and certification, along with supply chain transparency and optimization. He has spent more than 20 years in the manufacturing industry.
