Apogee Enterprises

G.K. “Jerry” Anderson, former Apogee Enterprises president and founder of the Harmon Contract Division, passed away on Jan. 24, 2023. After Anderson graduated from Indiana University (IU) in 1954, he joined Kawneer Co. as a territory sales representative. He then joined Harmon Glass, a division of Apogee, where he founded the Harmon Contract Division in Minneapolis. He was elected to the Apogee board of directors in 1981
and was named president of Apogee in 1992. He retired in 1996.


Eastman Chemical

Eastman Chemical Co.’s board of directors has elected Linnie M. Haynesworth as its newest director. Haynesworth was most recently the sector vice president and general manager of the Cyber and Intelligence Mission Solutions Division for Northrop Grumman Corp.’s Mission Systems Sector. She has more than 30 years of industry experience in technology.

New Hires

Vitro Architectural Glass

Nick Tanos has joined Vitro Architectural Glass as its commercial account manager for Southern California, Southern Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. The company also added Ryan Berrios as a commercial account manager for Northern California, Northern Nevada, Utah and Colorado.

Tanos will be responsible for managing commercial fabrication accounts. He will also support fabricators, glaziers and other stakeholders in their respective regions. Berrios will offer consultation to fabricators and glaziers in those areas. He previously worked at B-L Lighting Inc., where he spent over 30 years in various roles, most recently as national sales manager.



Donald Jayson has been named president of Bendheim. He assumed the role following a stint as senior vice president, where he was responsible for overseeing production and major projects. Jayson is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University. Officials say he is well-versed in specialty glass manufacturing, architectural glass applications and has a deep knowledge of domestic and international glass industries.

Glass Solutions Inc.

Glass Solutions Inc. (GSI) promoted Jacob Gurke to the position of chief financial officer. Since his arrival at GSI in 2021, company officials say that Gurke has spearheaded the implementation of a new enterprise resource planning system and developed simplified reporting platforms for more project finance transparency.

Specialty Fenestration Group

Specialty Fenestration Group (SFG) has promoted several employees throughout its subsidiaries, U.S. Bullet Proofing (USBP) and Quikserv. Wade Arnold was promoted from Quikserv commercial sales manager to SFG commercial sales director; Jim Higgins has moved from senior estimator to estimating manager at USBP; and Mike Pecilunas was promoted to general manager of USBP from his roles as director of operations.

Arnold joined the Quikserv sales team in 2017 as an account manager, and will remain responsible for the growth of Quikserv and USBP while supporting SFG’s network of partners. Higgins has been a member of USBP since 2016. He manages the security door and window business as lead and senior estimator for domestic and international projects and directs the company’s estimating team. Pecilunas started his career with USBP in 2005, and held several roles, including senior estimator and production manager.
