The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has established a new global solutions corporation. The entity will offer compliance solutions, digital products and advisory services that extend beyond the traditional products and services offered by NFPA.

Association officials explained that the move is part of a plan to further the NFPA mission via acquisitions and new offerings. The goal is to serve broader global safety needs to tackleĀ persistent and emerging challenges.

NFPA Global Solutions will be led by Carlos Correia, formerly NFPAā€™s vice president of strategic initiatives. Correia will oversee the corporationā€™s growth, including acquisitions, innovation and scaling within related sectors. Additionally, Keith Williams, former CEO of Underwriters Laboratories, and Michael Wallace, former executive director of business development for Carrier Corp., have been appointed independent board members.

NFPA has also unveiled NFPA Global Advisors. Officials said the unit will help governments and companies worldwide improve safety through implementing the NFPA Fire & Life Safety Ecosystem.
