The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) has expanded its staff in recent months, adding Tom Barnett, Steve Urich and Stewart Nicholas.

Barnett is the new senior director of programs, joining NFRC in March. He has engineering and product development experience with organizations such as Georgia Pacific, Masco and Newell Window/Kirsch.

Urich joined the NFRC staff in August as senior manager of programs. His responsibilities will include the commercial fenestration program, training, inspections and committee work. He has spent approximately 20 years in the fenestration industry and most recently worked with Keystone Certifications. He has served on several NFRC committees in the past.

Nicholas was named NFRC manager of software applications in June. He will oversee the development of requirements for new or improved NFRC software and will lead the applications support team. Nicholas has more than seven years of experience in an NFRC-licensed inspection agency role, coming from AMS. He has worked with several of NFRC’s current applications including Window, Therm, Optics and the NFRC Certified Product Directory.
