The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) ANS Standards Committee and NFRC board of directors approved a plan to submit changes to the ANSI/NFRC 100: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product U-factors for public review.

According to the council, these changes were balloted and approved by NFRC membership at its Spring 2015 Committee Week meeting but have not yet been implemented, pending completion of the public review.

The open public comment period began September 18 and will run for 30 days. The next public review of the ANSI/NFRC documents will take place in January 2017 and will include any changes approved by NFRC membership between now and then.

Additional details, updates on progress and applications for joining the committee are available on the ANS Standards Committee group page.
