Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd. (NSG) has made organizational changes in addition to executive officer appointments, which went into effect on October 1. The company created a new role titled chief transformation officer. Tony Fradgley, also a senior executive officer, has been appointed to the new role. He will lead transformation activities, promoting group-wide cost structure transformation as well as business and operational efficiency improvements. Fradgley reports directly to the CEO.

In addition, NSG has created a new strategic business unit (SBU) called the Creative Technology SBU. It encompasses all areas of the current Technical Glass SBU apart from the Fine Glass Division, as well as the Business Innovation Centre organization. The new SBU will report directly to the CEO.

Satoshi Ishino, a senior executive officer, has been named head of the Creative Technology SBU in addition to the roles he already held as chief development officer and head of the Business Innovation Centre. NSG named Hiroshi Nishikawa, a senior executive officer, to transformation director for Asia and head of the Fine Glass Division.
