Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Inc.® (OBE) will close its glass facility in Hauppauge, New York, on Aug. 5, 2025. It is the company’s second closure in six months.

OBE officials told customers that business operations will continue without disruption and orders will be filled.

“All orders will continue to be fulfilled as usual, and you will work with the same customer service, estimating and sales personnel throughout the transition and beyond,” writes Steve Dean, president of OBE’s glass and glazing systems division.

Officials say products will now be sourced from OBE’s facilities in Moorestown, New Jersey, Syracuse and Westbrook, Maine. OBE anticipates no delivery impacts. The company currently has 24 locations in the United States and 87 overall.

The closure announcement comes months after OBE shuttered its Los Angeles-based facility on Dec. 31, 2024. Officials described the move as an effort to optimize operations.
