Onyx Solar has installed photovoltaic glass in PepsiCo’s new distribution and logistics center in Puebla, Mexico. Onyx officials say the installation consists of 670 m² of crystalline silicon photovoltaic glass. The installation also features blue ceramic frit to adapt to the company’s aesthetic requirements and has a ventilated façade on the two main sides of the building and two adjacent canopies.

Officials explain that it is estimated the installation will generate more than 90,000 kWh of clean energy each year, equivalent to a reduction of 35 tons of CO2 in annual emissions.

“We are very pleased to have been chosen by PepsiCo to supply and install our photovoltaic solar panels at their Puebla plant,” says Onyx CEO Álvaro Beltrán. “This installation exemplifies how Onyx Solar’s innovative technology can help companies reduce their carbon footprint and move towards sustainability.”
