Overhead Door Corp. has acquired Motion Access, a provider of automatic pedestrian door solutions, based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Motion Access specializes in door operators, replacement parts, retrofit solutions and rebuilt equipment.
Overhead officials say that despite the acquisition, Motion Access will continue to operate under its existing name as part of Horton Automatics. Horton functions as an operational division under Overhead, covering brands such as Horton Automatics, Won-Door and Door Services Corp. Overhead is a subsidiary of Sanwa Holdings Corp. of Tokyo.
“Motion Access has earned a reputation as a trusted provider of automatic entrance solutions, and we are excited to welcome their team into the Horton family,” says Kelly Terry, president and CEO of Overhead.
Terry adds that the acquisition strengthens Overhead’s aftermarket and service capabilities, expands its product offering and reinforces its “commitment to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional support to customers throughout North America.”
Overhead’s announcement follows Horton Automatics’ recent acquisition of Indiana-based Your Automatic Door Company, a specialist in the service and installation of automatic door products. The move expanded Horton’s direct service footprint in Indiana.
