Industry veteran and longtime YKK AP Cincinnati branch manager Phil Blizzard passed away over the weekend. Blizzard spent more than 30 years in the industry—his last 18 with YKK AP, from which he retired this summer at 66 years old.

“Having met Phil for the first time when he came to visit me in Baltimore for orientation when he was a newly minted manager just hired to open the Cincinnati branch,” says YKK AP senior vice president Oliver Stepe, “I can tell you from personal knowledge that his passion for winning and his loyalty to YKK AP, and especially his employees in Cincinnati, was as strong on his first day of employment as it was the day he retired earlier this year.”

YKK AP honored Blizzard with the Journey of Excellence Award earlier this year.

“Phil had a unique and special style all his own, both personally and professionally, and the world is a better place with him having been on it,” says Stepe.
