PPG Industries’ flat glass business has earned two 2015 B2 Awards of Excellence from the national Business Marketing Association (BMA) in the marketing activation and video categories.

The company’s marketing campaign celebrating the 50th anniversary of Solarban glass earned honors in the “Marketing Activation: Existing Customer Retention and Growth” division. Marketing firms Pipitone Group and Yearick-Millea were recognized for their work on the campaign, which featured a website developed to document a half-century of historical and technological advances associated with Solarban glass and other promotional efforts.

PPG also earned honors in the “Video Production, Over 5:00 (Five Minutes)” division for its series of “Glenn the Glass Guy” consumer-oriented videos, in which an actor-portrayed PPG expert explains the science of glass performance in residential windows. Produced by the Pipitone Group, the specific videos recognized by BMA illustrate the performance of stainless steel Intercept spacers by PPG compared to foam-based spacer systems.
