The Glass Association of North America (GANA) has announced that Ron Jaworski, ESPN NFL analyst and former Pro Bowl NFL quarterback, will serve as the keynote speaker for the upcoming Building Envelope Contractor (BEC) Conference. The BEC Conference will be held March 16–18, 2014, at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Jaworski spent 17 years as a quarterback in the NFL. Today Jaworski appears regularly during football season on shows such as “NFL Match-Up,” “Sunday Countdown” and “Monday Night Countdown.”

Jaworski grew up in the steel-manufacturing town of Lackawanna, N.Y. as a three-sport standout in football, baseball and basketball. His professional sports career was initially destined for MLB when the St. Louis Cardinals drafted Jaworski right out of high school, but Jaworski’s father pushed him to pursue a college degree. He went on to pursue his degree and play football at Youngstown State University in Ohio where he flourished as a talented quarterback.

During his career in the NFL, Jaworski led the Philadelphia Eagles to the NFC playoffs in 1978 and 1979.  In 1980, Jaworski led the Eagles to Super Bowl XV vs. the Oakland Raiders.  He was awarded the 1980 NFL Most Valued Player and was selected to go to the Pro Bowl.

Jaworski will speak on Tuesday, March 18.
