Toronto-based fabricator Saand Inc. has acquired Guardian Webster Inc.’s fabrication facility in Webster, Mass.

Saand currently operates four glass fabrication facilities in Ontario. This purchase represents its second major acquisition within the past four years and its first U.S. location, according to a release from the company.

Peter Garvey, CEO of Saand Inc., says the addition of the Webster facility, with its fabrication and insulated glass unit production capabilities, will enable the company to further serve the Northeast U.S. market.

“Saand has extensive experience and expertise in the glass fabrication business and we have built a solid business with capabilities in distribution, laminated products, mirror manufacturing, insulating glass unit processing, spandrel and silk-screen painting, as well as fabrication of OEM office equipment components,” says Garvey. “We are truly excited that this purchase not only aligns with our core competencies but also assists us with our strategic plan to expand into the U.S.”

Mark Franklin, owner of the Saand group of companies, adds: “We feel that the key strength of the facility is the dedicated group of employees who are committed to serving our customers and are interested in helping the Webster facility grow and be successful in the future. Establishing a U.S. footprint is another step in our evolution and the expansion path we have been on for the past 28 years.”
