Architects’ Forum™ 2016 is set for June 2, offering a day of glass industry education designed just for architects. SageGlass of Faribault, Minn., will serve as a Silver Sponsor for the upcoming Architects’ Forum 2016, which will take place in Bellevue, Wash. (suburban Seattle), at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. The event is sponsored and organized by the Architect’s Guide to Glass & Metal magazine.

logoAs part of its sponsorship, SageGlass will present its AIA-accredited program titled “Introduction to Dynamic Glazing (102).” The course covers electrochromic (EC) glazing and how it can be used for achieving energy performance, daylight and views and human comfort. Participants will learn to analyze the aesthetic performance of EC glazing and how it works compared to conventional solar control solutions; examine the human factor benefits; explain how EC systems can be controlled to meet energy performance and user comfort needs; and understand the aspects of zoning with EC and how zoning can be used to optimize the tradeoffs between glare control, daylight admission, energy performance and light quality.

In addition to the presentations, Architects’ Forum 2016 will provide attendees with a number of other educational and networking opportunities. These include free admission into the Glass Expo Pacific Northwest™ trade show, as well as lunch, coffee breaks and informative tabletop displays provided by event sponsors.
