Saint-Gobain acquired Romanian company Pietta Glass Working, which has operations in glass processing, insulating glazing systems and automotive glass.

Pietta Glass is owned by Italian businessman Alessandro Pietta. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This acquisition will allow the Group to expand the business’ industrial footprint in order to better serve the growing façade markets and round out its positioning in industrial applications with an optimized cost base,” a release from Saint-Gobain reads.

Pietta Glass Working was founded in 2000 and operates four plants is Romania.
