Everyone wants to prevent or reduce injuries from flying glass and other debris and avoid a structural collapse of a building affected by a blast. This session will give you the tools to analyze a bomb blast in relation to a fenestration system. Compare and experience the evolution of the blast mitigation standard. Investigate testing procedures and explore design criteria for cost effective blast mitigation. Learn how to configure the glazing, framing and anchoring to meet a specified level of performance.

About the Speaker: Greg Galloway is ProTek brand manager for YKK AP America Inc. He started his career in manufacturing and was an ASQ-certified quality engineer before transitioning into marketing. His background includes more than 30 years in residential and commercial fenestration with accomplishments in strategic business planning, market intelligence, brand and product management. For the last 18 years, he has been active in the design, building and marketing of hurricane impact and blast mitigation products. Galloway holds a B.S. degree from Southern Illinois University and an M.B.A. from Drake University. He currently serves on the American Architectural Manufacturers Association Southeast Region Technical Committee and Board of Directors.
