Between the Wheel Lines

Salem Fabrication Supplies, formerly Salem Flat Glass & Mirror, has launched its Superior wheel line, specifically designed for edging laminated glass. The company says the “S” pattern on the cutting band allows the wheel to have a different point of contact while rotating, never touching the surface of the glass at just one place on the wheel. Superior wheels are available for use on a variety of machinery including Bovone, Bavelloni, Lattuada, Schiatti and more.

Clip In

Technoform has introduced its thermal isolator clip for buildings with continuous insulation systems. Engineered for use in exterior wall cladding and façade systems, the thermal isolator clip can be used in both renovation and new construction applications to help reduce thermal bridging from the outer surface of the outside panel to the interior wall.

The company’s thermal isolator clip ensures the dew point of the wall system stays outside of the air-water barrier, providing a thermally efficient mounting support for cladding applications to maintain the continuous insulation requirements for the wall. This helps protect the integrity of the building structure by minimizing the potential for condensation inside the wall cavities, further preventing the opportunity for mold growth or degradation, according to the company. The clip works for nearly any substrate, insulation or cladding, including aluminum composite material and other wall cladding materials.
