Reflecting on New Additions

Pulp Studio has added Refracted Reflections to its catalog of custom glass products. New textures and mirrors refract light for dramatic effects on featured wall applications. Refracted Reflections is made of low-iron textured glass and reflective interlayers and has six textures in 24 colorways that can be color-coated, ceramic decorated, laminated, printed with custom graphics or mirrored. Users can choose from Pulp Studio’s
Pintura or Colorlites stock colors or use their own graphics.

Fire Protection

Partners in Fire Protection

Vetrotech Design Solutions (VDS) is a complete line of code-compliant, fire-rated system assemblies—glass and framing together—including curtainwall, windows, transoms, partitions, smoke barriers and fire-doors. Since 2010, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain in North America and Forster Profile Systems have collaborated to provide fire protection with VDS fire-rated framed assemblies. Forster provides its steel profile systems and Vetrotech supplies the fire-rated glass.

VDS’s comprehensive system comes complete with door hardware so design teams can avoid ordering each component separately. The systems also accommodate any standard U.S. fire-rated door, and guarantees that any design meets all code requirements, according to the company.

Fire Rated Meets Forced Entry

Fyre-Tec has introduced what it says is the industry’s first fully tested window assemblies for both fire-rating and forced entry. Available as both fixed and operable systems, the windows are designed with clean lines to help enhance a variety of application types such as institutional, hospital or government projects, according to the company. The windows are ideal for interior vestibules and reception areas where occupant safety is an elevated concern.
