Situated in the resurgent Mott Haven neighborhood of Bronx, New York, The Motto Apartments is a new 24-story complex featuring a façade of contemporary silver metal and large glass panels. The façade sits atop a six-story brick louver and glass panel podium.
Vista Skywall Systems supplied and installed the apartment’s window wall system on floors two through 24. Materials used include 110,000 square feet of window wall with vision glass, spandrels, casements, terrace doors, operating windows, swing doors, louvers and various aluminum panels.
Quest Products in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, fabricated the ECOWALL 141 unitized window wall system. Gamco Corp. fabricated the structure’s entrance doors.
Insulating glass units were used to glaze vision panels for fixed lights, operable windows and doors, and spandrel glass panels. Vision glazing was specified with Guardian SN 68 low-E coated tempered or annealed glass, warm edge spacers and Argon gas filling.
