NSG Group has decided to halt production on a float line in Weiherhammer, Germany, ahead of a planned cold repair.

Company officials explained that the “decision is a consequence of the review of the current demand and supply situation in the Central European architectural glass market while expecting steady market growth in the long term.”

Officials said the company plans for production to end in summer 2024, around 12 months before the planned repair, which will commence in June 2025. The company does not expect any material additional one-off costs or redundancies as a result of the early closure of the float line.
