Pennsylvania Rep. Karen Boback recently toured the Crystal Window & Door Systems’ new 336,000-square-foot production facility in Benton Township, Pa.

During the tour, Rep. Boback viewed the operation, which currently employs more than 90 workers producing insulating glass units, vinyl and aluminum frame windows, and aluminum frame doors.  She also had the opportunity to meet Crystal president Steve Chen, learn about Crystal’s expansion plans, and discuss the needs of businesses regarding high school and community college career guidance, education, and training for potential future industrial workers.

“It was great that Rep. Boback was able to see our factory here in Northeast Pennsylvania and get a sense of how committed Crystal is to the region and its workforce,” said Chen.  “With her background and support for education at all levels, she understands just how important education and vocational training is to the future of manufacturing in Lackawanna County.”
