The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) have officially combined into one organization with the new name, Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA). After a vote by both bodies in July 2019, the two organizations have come together as of January 1, 2020.
The goal of the alliance is to focus on improving home and building performance through better glass, door, window and skylight technologies and standards. The FGIA plans to lead the glass, glazing and fenestration industry through research, consensus-based standards, product certification, advocacy, education and professional development.
FGIA also announced that social media platforms have been established for the new organization, including the following:

Industry professionals are invited by the organization to like, connect and follow these accounts to stay up to date on the latest information from FGIA.
Alliance officials also announced that a new logo and branding will be revealed at the inaugural FGIA Annual Conference, to be held February 10-13. Registration for the conference is now open.

  • FGIA Fall Conference: October 5-8 at Le Westin Montreal in Montreal, Quebec
