Glass Expo Rocky Mountain™ ’19 is coming to the Denver suburb of Aurora, Colo. The Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center will hold the event on January 24-25, 2019. Winter is a beautiful time to visit the Rocky Mountain region!

While our posts typically revolve around the event itself, we thought it would be a good idea to highlight some things to help you make the most out of your trip. If you are a winter sports enthusiast, Colorado is one of the best places to visit in January. In fact, the average daily high temperature in January is 49 degrees.

The Centennial State is probably best known for its many ski slopes. The two most famous of these are Aspen and Vail. The debate over which location is best is long and unsettled, but either way you choose you’re on the right path. We suggest taking a few extra days to experience it yourself.

Another iconic Rocky Mountain destination is the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This concert venue was carved out of the mountain. From the Beatles to U2, Red Rocks has hosted some of the biggest names in music. It is worth a visit, even if there are no events scheduled.

If you are looking for something to do after the Expo, why not sink some suds at the Winter Brew Fest. This event will be held January 25-26 at the Mile High Station in Denver, and  celebrates craft beverages from around Colorado and beyond. It features live local music, food and other vendors.

Finally, there’s the National Western Stock Show, for those who want a touch of the Old West. The stock show is more than just auctioning off cattle, there are also several rodeos held each day. Bucking broncos and raging bulls remind us of how the West was won.

These suggested events are just a small sampling. There is so much more to experience at the Expo. Make sure to register before January 9 to receive a discounted rate.

Glass Expo Rocky Mountain™ is co-sponsored by the Colorado Glazing Contractors Association (CGCA), USGlass magazine,™ and Architects’ Guide to Glass & Metal.
