Every Thursday leading up to USGlass magazine’s 50th Anniversary celebration in August, USGNN.com™ is taking a look back at past issues and highlighting advertisements, stories and images that ran throughout the publication’s half-century life. This week, we’re going back to the early ‘80s.

First, check out this cover, which teases an issue focused on mirrors. This edition, according to the cover, features bronze mirrors, mirror products and an editorial on how to get the most out of glass mirror sales.

Now looking inside, we come across an advertisement for Floral Glass & Mirror, of Hauppauge, N.Y.—funny thing about that, as we’re in Hauppauge this week for Glass Expo Northeast.

Anyway, in the ad, Floral is announcing it has opened Floral Glass Industries, a New England-based supplier.
