PrintEvery Thursday leading up to USGlass magazine’s 50th Anniversary celebration in August,™ is taking a look back at past issues and highlighting advertisements and stories that ran throughout the publication’s half-century life. This week, we zip back to 1971.

The mostly black-and-white January issue of that year showcases a colorful C.R. Laurence advertisement on the inside of the cover. It also features one of the first stories about safety glazing. Check out both below:

  1. Debra — You might consider bringing your readers up to date on Glass Mag history prior to your coming aboard — Old timers in the industry were used to Bud Glassberg’s Glass Digest and after G-Digest other publications surfaced. John Paula ????? ( sp ) surfaced sometime in this period I think — He was tennis chair of FGMA national in 1976 ’77 I think.
