Though tiny in stature, TechTinyHouse’s small abodes are more than just mobile structures; they feature the technical, structural and energy standards of a fully-fledged building.
The buildings were designed to be used in various commercial and residential applications, ranging from showrooms, presentation rooms, temporary meeting places, rentals and living spaces. To ensure that building occupants remain comfortable, the materials used to build the structures need to be flexible and resilient, including the glazing systems, which are subject to stresses due to their mobile use.
This requirement led TechTinyHouse founders to Swisspacer’s warm-edge spacer bars. The materials were chosen to ensure optimum thermal performance, durability and energy efficiency. TechTinyHouse CEO Brendan Thome says that many customers drive the mobile structures to the sea in the summer and to the mountains in the winter.
“Transporting them across different altitudes naturally poses a risk in terms of pressure equalization,” he explains. “With Swisspacer Air, we have now found a way to take our quality promise to our customers to an entirely new level.”
