The next stop for Glass Expos is Indianapolis, which will host Glass Expo Midwest™ (GEMS) ʼ18 from November 8-9, 2018 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis. The event provides attendees with opportunities to learn through educational seminars and to network on the show floor with dozens of exhibitors.

Registration/Free Pass

Registration will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 8 and from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, November 9 in the Griffin Hall South Foyer. Those who have not yet registered may do so on-site.

GEMS includes a long line-up of seminars on both Thursday and Friday. The educational program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, and from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday in meeting room 202.

Tomorrow, the show opens with a welcome and economic update from Nick St. Denis, director of research for Key Media & Research, the parent company of USGlass magazine. He will discuss the region’s economic standing and forecast what to expect in commercial and residential building.

Bernard Lax, CEO of Pulp Studio, will follow with the seminar, “Decorative Glass: Benefiting from Graphic Imaging (1AIA LU).” He will help attendees gain an understanding of the performance characteristics of various graphic imaging production methods and technologies.

Next, attendees can learn about trends in the glass and glazing industry from Richard Voreis, chief executive officer of Consulting Collaborative.

Other seminars include hiring and selling to millennials, C-suite changes coming in the contract glazing industry, finding quality workers, challenges to maintaining and cleaning glass surfaces, and designing safer glass railings with laminated glass. For the full seminar schedule, click here.


From 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, attendees can gain valuable insights into body language from expert Janine Driver during her keynote speech “You Say More Than You Think.” Driver is a popular media guest, with appearances on shows including The Dr. Oz Show, Anderson Cooper, NBC’s TODAY and Weekend TODAY, FOX News and CNN’s Larry King Live.

Trade Show Floor

The trade show floor will feature dozens of exhibitors for attendees to visit and learn about companies’ latest products and services. To view the full list of exhibitors click here. It will be open from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. A welcoming cocktail party will be held on the floor from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will be followed by a business bingo session at 8:30 p.m.
