USGlass magazine editors learned on Monday that Ubiquitous Energy was furloughing employees with the possibility of a full reduction in workforce by the end of April 2024.

According to an email sent to multiple employees, the Redwood City, California-based company began furloughing employees on April 23, 2024. A subsequent email sent by the company to at least one of its employees confirmed their employment was terminated on Tuesday, April 29, with benefits ending the same day. According to the email, officials estimate the company will remain open for another 30 days.

Employees will continue to have access to tax information through May 10, 2024.

USGlass reached out to Ubiquitous Energy on Monday, April 29. The company failed to comment.
