Unicel Architectural Corp. is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2024. The company supplies glass, timber and aluminum building products. Fernand Roy opened the first location in Montreal in 1964.

“[Co-president] Vincent Couturier and I have always been strong believers in Unicel, and we’re proud to lead a company with such a rich history and strong lineup of products, including our timber curtainwall and Vision Control specialty glazing,” says co-president Samuel Doyon Bissonnette.

Unicel expanded throughout the U.S. in the 1990s and soon stepped into East Asia, Scandinavia, Latin America and Gulf Cooperation Council regions. Today, the company primarily works on large institutional projects in the U.S. and Canada and performs commercial work.

“The demand for sustainable, elegant and highly customized building and glazing products and thermally efficient technologies has only grown in the past several years, and we believe it will continue to grow,” says Couturier. “The designers and architects we work with value Unicel Architectural as a vendor able to work on challenging and complex projects.”
