Universal Window and Door, a manufacturer of custom windows for historic restoration and commercial construction projects, recently hired additional sales, customer service and manufacturing personnel.

System engineer Edmund Uzar will oversee its IT operations; Elan Sinai and Joseph Zaino joined the company as estimators; and customer support specialists Carol Morrissey and Claire Sacharkiewicz were added as sales support. In addition, the company has increased its manufacturing personnel by nearly 30 percent since 2015.

“The trend in recent years towards preserving historic former industrial mills by converting them into multifamily housing, bolstered by the increased use of federal and state historic credits to lower costs, has created the extraordinary demand that continues to fuel our growth,” says Tony Muraco, CEO of Universal Window and Door.  It’s rewarding to see our products in these historic mills that date back 150 years.”
