Chris Rogstad, Window Tech Inc. passed away on Tuesday, January 25. He is survived by his wife, Lin Ciaramitaro, and daughters Sophia Branson and Rebecca Rogstad.

He was born on October 10, 1950, in Stanley, N.D. Rogstad attended the University of North Dakota and graduated from the University of Washington, followed by a Masters of Business Administration. After several years of working for Pella Windows in Seattle, he joined his longtime friend and business partner, Lou Novak, to launch Window Tech Inc.

“Chris was very devoted to promoting diversity in small business hiring and was an active mentor to the new leadership team at Windowtech,” according to his obituary.

Chris was active in the Washington Glass Association (WGA), where he served as director, secretary, treasurer and vice president. Chris also played in the WGA’s Baseball Tournament Challenge between Architectural Glass and Auto Glass in late 80’s.

“Chris believed deeply in helping others and was a strong supporter of the WGA Scholarships given each year to WGA member-owners, employees and their families; therefore, we are establishing a Chris Rogstad WGA Memorial Scholarship,” says Maryanne Howell, executive director of WGA.
