
Jason Frentzel of Pioneer Cladding and Glazing died on June 22, 2026, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born on Aug. 1, 1980, in Oxford, Ohio. He is survived by his mother, Sharon L. Frentzel; sister, Melissa (Jeff) Elam; significant other, Kati Kramer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.
Frentzel worked as the director of manufacturing for Pioneer Cladding and Glazing. He was promoted to the role in December 2025, previously serving as shop support manager, with stints as production planner and senior designer. He worked for Pioneer for nearly 14 years, starting as a designer in 2012, per his LinkedIn profile.
“[Frentzel’s] dedication, character and the impact he made on our company and the people around him cannot be measured,” write Pioneer officials on LinkedIn. “He helped shape who we are today, and his influence will continue to be felt for years to come. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Jason’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”
According to his obituary, Frentzel graduated from Fenwick High School in 1999 before receiving his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton. Alongside his job at Pioneer, Frentzel served two four-year terms on the Monroe City Council from 2016 to 2023 and was the mayor of Monroe from 2020 to 2021. He enjoyed all types of auto racing and loved to travel, especially to national parks.
